Overspeed Governors
Preventing the lift from overspeed conditions, Gervall manufacture and calibrate a wide range of OSG solutions to suit most installations.
From pulley diameters of 120, 200 and 300mm, suitable for 6, 6.5 and 8mm wire ropes, and an extensive list of options to suit repairs, modernisations and new installations, there are few instances when a Gervall / Aljo OSG cannot provide what your lift will require.
Activation systems include the traditional Trigger (Descent & Bidirectional) and the smoother and quicker Centrifugal (Bidirectional) options.
Trip speeds start from 0.3m/s and cover up to 3.2m/s.
Mounting options include Machine Room, Car and MRL options, with a supporting range of Tension Weights for Pit Floor or Guide Rail mounting.
Safety Gears
Providing the lift with the means to come to a safe stop in an emergency (being activated by the Overspeed Governor tripping), the safety gear engages onto the guide rails.
Both Instantaneous (low speed and Descent only) and Progressive (low/high speed, with Descent and Bidirectional) engagement profiles provide solutions for both modernisation and new installation projects.
Gervall also supply a complete modernisation kit with driving set, which uses mounting brackets with multiple fixing points for adaption on site.
